“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. The mood is intimate, analog, and deeply atmospheric with rich sepia and brown tones against near-black shadows. | photorealistic | landscape

As me and Gina read more about our Human Design charts, the more interesting they become. I just learned about the concept of the “Not Self” theme which is the feeling you get when you are acting against or in opposition to your design. Conversely, the “Signature” is the feeling when you are aligned with your design.

My Not Self is Frustration, which makes sense to me, and my Signature is Satisfaction, which honestly I could use a little more of in my life. I’m getting there though.

If you are ever in the mood to read a heartbreaking story of lost opportunities and perseverance, despite seemingly perpetual challenge, check out Hardcore Troubadour: The Life and Near Death of Steve Earle by Lauren St John. It’s from 2001 so not current but man what a crazy story, makes listening to him a completely different experience.
