We’ve been going to Boho Hair Studio in nearby Crete for about two years now and today was the day for our every 5 weeks appointment. From our very first visit Kara and Alyssa have been so friendly and so great to work with, and it is such a warm and welcoming environment. On our very first visit I noticed a rainbow logo Safe Space sign, and as I try to be an ally and support those businesses who also provide an inclusive environment, I knew we had found the right place and the right people.
The walls are covered with unique art and today I noticed the above plaque hanging above Kara’s chair, and I really appreciated the sentiment and her desire to create a place where all those things are true.
In our current climate full of divisiveness, distrust, propaganda and exclusion, it is so great to be in a space that is free of all of that – just a nice place to be around nice people for a while. We get good haircuts as well, even though Alyssa is still guilty of severely undercharging for her men’s haircut service…
