It’s hard for me to think of a band that was as consistently outstanding for as many years as XTC. I mean, I would consider everything from 1986’s Skylarking through 2000’s Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume 2) as absolutely essential, but even the prior albums are darned close to the brilliance that was to come.

“Love On A Farmboy’s Wages” from 1983’s Mummer would fit right in on the later classics. I used to love reading Andy Partridge’s tweets back in the day as he would clear up untruths and rumors.
