In honor of the 50th anniversary of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Genesis has just recently released a remastered version with an Atmos mix and a live recording from the tour. Not that I need an excuse to listen – but I just gave this a spin the other day. This was of course the last Genesis album to feature Peter Gabriel and holy shit did he go out with a fucking bang.

Truly one of the greatest albums of all time, I remember waiting for what seemed like an eternity for this to finally come out on CD. I have read stories about how difficult the recording process was for the band and on the tour that followed but this is such a remarkably unique album – beautiful and challenging – great in scope and in execution. It is and I imagine always will be one of my absolute favorites.

So hard to pick a song to share but I have always loved this one a lot.
