Random Song of the Day (RSOTD) – The Healer

A seated John Lee Hooker (left) and Carlos Santana (right) both holding electric guitars.

John Lee Hooker featuring Carlos Santana from 1989’s The Healer, an outstanding album that pairs John Lee Hooker with a collection of artists including Bonnie Raitt, Robert Cray, Los Lobos, George Thorogood and others.

“The Healer” is the standout track for me though:

  1. Great song and I was not familiar with the album. I’m not sure what year Carlos switched from Gibson to PRS guitars, but he made this LesPaul sing. Thanks for sharing.
