2025 Music In Review – 10 x 10 Album Collage
I shared some year end statistics from my last.fm account in a post yesterday and I wanted to offer some more interesting tidbits. I’ll be sharing more over the next few days but I wanted to start today with a 10 x 10 collage of my most listened to albums over the past year.
I can’t think of much of anything that truly represents me as much as this image does.

What stayed with me most as I read was how the sheer variety of albums invited my ear to move across genres without settling, as though my own listening habits were being gently rearranged.
I found myself noticing the way certain sonic textures — subtle bass grooves, fragile acoustic lines, unexpected timbral shifts — made me pause in the text and imagine a few seconds of sound.
By the end I was strangely tuned to the year itself, not as a collection of statistics but as a mosaic of moments where listening felt like a deliberate, curious act.
