There was a time when I used to hear a great song and say “This is the greatest song ever written” – unfortunately my nephews mocked me mercilessly when they would hear me say it, so I stopped saying it.
Fuck that, I’m a grown ass man, if I want to call a song the greatest song ever written, I am going to do it.
The thing is, as I am listening to the songs upon which I bestow that grand honor, I really do believe it. In that moment, when I am hearing that song, and it is doing what music does to me, I believe it.
