“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. Nantucket Sleighride (To Owen Coffin) – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

/

The band Mountain on stage circa 1971

Hell Yeah! This is such a great song from Leslie West and Mountain. Gov’t Mule teases a bit of this occasionally, and we had the good fortune to see Leslie sit in with The Allman Brothers during one of the Beacon runs. So good.

Warren Haynes has mentioned just how much this band influenced him and Gov’t Mule – you can definitely hear it.
