1001 Albums Day 65 – At San Quentin

Johnny Cash on stage at San Quentin prison

This is just about as perfect a live album as you can get. The connection between Johnny and the audience is just amazing and everyone is so jacked in to every word he says or sings. What a tremendously real and honest performance. I think I like this just as much as Folsom.

  1. A wonderful record that I still listen to every now and then. Thank you for the reminder.

    1. I hadn’t heard this one before but really enjoyed it. That’s the joy of this 1001 albums challenge, finding something new or being reminded of something that may have faded.
