The original Traffic version of this was playing in the waiting area when I went in to get our pizza last night which (of course) made me think of the many times we have seen Gov’t Mule cover this classic over the years.

This phenomenal version comes from the New Years Beacon Run we attended in December 2003 when legendary saxophonist Maceo Parker, who opened the show, popped on to the stage to join them for this transcendent version. Such an amazing moment to witness and experience. I think this is the finest 15 minutes I am likely to spend today.
