Another Rant

I don’t really want to just post here when I want to rant but this needs to be shared.

For the past few months Gina and I have been watching the televison show Fringe. It’s been on our list for a few years and we finally got around to catching it. Originally it was on Amazon Prime Video w/ Ads and we were fine with that. We usually watched an episode a day after dinner and we were quite enjoying it.

Then one day (January 1st) I went to play the next episode and it prompted me to buy the DVD. It had been pulled from Amazon streaming.

So I looked online for another place to view it and, Reddit to the rescue, was informed that it was currently running on Max. We picked up right where we left off and have been working our way through season four.

Last night we watched what seemed like a pretty important episode. A lot happened and a lot changed and we were eager to watch more this evening after dinner to see what happened next. I found it on our home screen’s resume watching list and hit play, only to get a notice that the content was not available. Thinking it was an error I went to Max directly and looked at our list and… it’s not there. I searched and it can’t be found.

It’s just gone, from everywhere. It isn’t streaming anywhere right now. It’s available for purchase for $3.00 an episode or $80 for the whole series, but can’t be streamed. There was no notice either time or we would have binged our way through it before this happened. I’m not a fan of pirating or torrenting stuff but this certainly makes me understand why some folks do it.

We are not happy right now….
