When you are in the mood for some classic electric blues music, you can’t go wrong with any of the Three Kings. The influence that B.B. King, Albert King, and Freddie King had on electric blues guitar and blues music is immeasurable.
I occasionally run across discussions online about who was better, or who was your favorite and I dismiss such nonsense. Each had their own unique style and all were masters who elevated the craft in remarkable ways.
I thought of this song today because of a particularly timely lyric from Albert King’s “Born Under A Bad Sign” from 1967.
Born under a bad sign
Been down since I began to crawl
If it wasn’t for bad luck
You know, I wouldn’t have no luck at all
This is the real fucking deal here my friends, it doesn’t get much better than this.
No matter how bad things get in the world and in my life, there is always music, and as Frank Zappa said:
Music Is THE BEST!
