“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. It’s A Beautiful Day Today – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

/

Singer Robert Plant standing outdoors wearing black shirt and jacket

When I heard this for the first time earlier today, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post it as my random song or my daily joyful. In any case, Robert Plant dials it all the way down for a very tender version of “It’s A Beautiful Day Today” which I discovered is actually a cover of an old Moby Grape song.

From his new brand new album Saving Grace, it’s such a beautiful tune made even more so because of the harmonies with singer Suzi Dian. The rest of this album is queued up for listening first thing in the morning.
