“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Art Of Almost – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

“Art Of Almost” from Wilco’s 2011 release The Whole Love. I played the shit out of this album when it came out but for some reason it sort of faded from regular rotation for a while. I guess when you put out as many good albums as these guys have, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to listen to them all.

Truly one of my favorite bands, they sit at #3 on my last.fm charts for most listened.

One thing I need to stop doing is using them as my answer to questions about “new bands” or “new music” I like. Yeah they are newer than The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and a lot of the stuff I listen to from the 60s and 70s, but jeez their first album A.M. is thirty years old this year… time to find someone more recent I guess.
