“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. The mood is intimate, analog, and deeply atmospheric with rich sepia and brown tones against near-black shadows. | photorealistic | landscape

Say Goodbye – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

/

Singer Beck outdoors standing in the middle of a countryish looking road, wearing black scarf and hat.

Beck from his absolutely brilliant Grammy Award winning Album of the Year Morning Phase from 2014.

Shit – has it really been that long?

Beck is such an intriguing artist to me, truly unique and uncategorizable – which I love about him. With that said, the pairing of Sea Change with Morning Phase is just perfect. Similar enough to feel connected but not really the same – you know?

“Say Goodbye” seems appropriate today for some reason – just the right amount of melancholy.
