My 1001 albums assignment from today was terrible (review in the morning) but it did have a brief sample of this song within which prompted a full listen of In The Court Of The Crimson King. A nice, and desperately needed, palette cleanser.

King Crimson sure came roaring out of the gate with this one didn’t they? I can only imagine what people thought when first hearing it upon release in 1969. It’s insane even today – but oh so good!
