“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. Very Best Years – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

/

Group shot of the band The Grays

A wonderful song from Ro Sham Bo, the lone album by The Grays, a generally well regarded but criminally unheard release from 1994. When this was released I was on a Jellyfish kick and this featured Jason Falkner who had appeared on their debut Bellybutton. I had only heard this song in a record store but I bought it with the remainder unheard. I wasn’t at all disappointed.

I just adore this album.
