I like the stuff that Journey did before Steve Perry joined for Infinity. Gregg Rolie has one of my favorite rock & roll voices and Neal Schon was already a proven guitar wizard. Perry’s eventual entrance did provide the boost to superstardom, and the Perry / Rolie harmonies are magic but there is such a cool vibe to the first couple of albums. I put this particular songs on mix tapes all the damn time – what a great song.
