“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. Random Song of the Day (RSOTD) – No Souvenirs

/

Singer Melissa Etheridge at microphone

When Melissa Etheridge’s first album was released, it caused quite a sensation in my dorm when a friend I recommended it to played it quite loudly. Nobody complained and soon you couldn’t walk down the halls without hearing it from all the rooms. It was much deserved attention as it’s a pretty remarkable album.

Her second Brave And Crazy is also really good and starts with this song, which might just be my favorite of hers.
