“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. The mood is intimate, analog, and deeply atmospheric with rich sepia and brown tones against near-black shadows. | photorealistic | landscape

Nightswimming – Random Song of the Day (RSOTD)

/

R.E.M Band

I’ve been a fan of R.E.M. since the Murmur days when a friend’s brother who worked at WXRT told me about them. While I don’t necessarily love most of the later stuff as much as those first few albums, damn if this isn’t just an absolutely gorgeous song, and quite possibly their best.

In a just world where things happened like they were supposed to “Nightswimming” would have the 1.9B plays on YouTube Music that “Losing My Religion” has rather than the 15M it has actually garnered.

What’s wrong with you people?
