“The record you didn’t know you needed is what I am listening to in the other room.”

AI_IMAGE: A dimly lit vintage record store back room, shot at eye level across wooden bins overflowing with vinyl LPs. Warm amber light from a single hanging bulb casts deep shadows. Faded concert posters line the dark walls. Wisps of incense smoke curl through the golden light. The mood is intimate, analog, and deeply atmospheric with rich sepia and brown tones against near-black shadows. | photorealistic | landscape

Make it make sense

/

How have we become a nation where we villify Dr. Fauci after a lifelong career of serving the public and making considerable contributions to science and health – including HIV/AIDS research, while we let a conspiracy theorist, vaccine denying insane fuckstick like RFK Jr. become the head of health and human services.

I hate this fucking place and everyone who voted to let this kind of shit happen.

  1. There is indeed a horse, loose in a hospital. And that horse thinks that it’s a good idea to be a contrarian; that *that’s* the way to make things “better.” So he puts the opposite of the right people (aka “the best people”, aka those who do his bidding) in positions of authority who are contrarians themselves and only see the bad in what is happening and have no capacity to do anything to “build upon” but rather how to knock down. I hope the whole asinine, immature, reactionary strategy implodes upon them and makes them enemies of those whose circumstances they promised to improve. That would be sweet.

  2. i thought it was just me. the voting public can’t really be this blind, can they?
