Meta introduced Muse, their AI companion / assistant last week, and I am already hearing nightmare stories about how insecure it is. Even without the security concerns, Meta is an evil and horrible company that completely disrespects you and your privacy. If they can do the wrong thing, they will.

The only entity I dislike and distrust more than Meta and Mark Zuckerberg is the Donald Trump led US Government. I wouldn’t mind if either or both of them got shut down.

Second day in a row I woke up early from dreams I did not want to fall back asleep to.

There is a lot of stuff going on right now but we are doing our best to stay focused and on task and make the right decisions. There is so much out of our control though which makes things difficult, so we focus on what we can do. Wish us luck, we’ll need it.

Finally got a new Bin Diving post up, and have all the listens from the gap logged so I should be able to retro-post the ones I missed quickly. I just need to add the reviews. I set up an AI job that actually does most of the work for me, other than the listening and the writing…

While not as bad as others have experienced, the recent storms have done some pretty severe damage to the old trees in our yard. The crabapple tree pretty much split down the middle and a large oak lost a large branch which brought down the power lines from the pole to our house. We have been trying to clean them up but it is just too much work for us. Another call to the landscaper just when we can’t afford to be calling a landscaper…

Up and out early today to be at the hospital by 7am for my elastography MRI. Interesting test, a vibrating paddle on my liver measures the elasticity of the liver which is developing scarring or fibrosis. The Hepatologist wasn’t satisfied with the results of the elasticity ultrasound and wanted more data to judge the severity. Now the wait for the results…

Having trouble finding a good podiatrist to treat the issues caused by my neuropathy. It’s ok though, I figure if god wanted me to walk he wouldn’t have given me cancer and he would have given me better health insurance.

I read a post the other day on a music blog by a guy who knew enough about Pink Floyd to be long aware of Rick Wright’s long out of print 1978 solo album Wet Dream, but apparently not enough to know that it’s David Gilmour and not David Gilmore.

Sorry the delay in getting this week’s Bin Diving Post up. I got what seems like a 300 page questionaire to fill out for my disability application and only a few days to get it done and returned.

I’ll try to catch up tomorrow. It was a lighter listening week than usual but there was some interesting stuff in the mix so it will be worth the wait.

Gina is winding down work with her doula client, and while I am glad to see her move on from this client for many reasons, I think the thing I am looking forward to most is the reduction of hearing the term “placenta preparation” back down to my desired number of zero times per day.
