This fine album, the debut by North Mississippi Allstars Shake Hands With Shorty, was the soundtrack for me and Gina tonight while we did our post Colbert late night posting and such.
It’s been a while since I’ve played it but man I enjoyed this from the very first time I heard it back in 2000 and it didn’t disappoint tonight. It’s got quite a groove that just sort of takes you in for a ride.
I have always liked this song a lot – perhaps it’s sort of an update on the old Dead classic.
