I spent a good part of yesterday trying to put in to words my thoughts about the events of Jan 6, 2021 and my feelings about it five years later. I was trying to mix together my anger, my sadness, my disbelief, bewilderment, shock, and so much more. I really struggled because it was such a horrific and unprecedented event and it was overwhelming to revisit it.
Then I read this ginormous steaming pile of dog shit that was published by Trump’s administration on the whitehouse.gov site. I decided to take a break for the night, and try to pick up again today.
I read the page again this morning, and despite the overwhelming urge to vomit, I started to make some notes. No mention of the Capitol Police beaten with baseball bats or pipes. No mention of the crowd calling for the hanging of Mike Pence. No mention of them smearing their own shit on the walls. No mention of tasers or zip ties. Just a desperate attempt to gaslight the American People.
I tried again to write something but honestly, there are no words. The Maga cult will believe their cult leader, and absolve him from blame no matter what evidence is presented to the contrary. If you watched even a few moments of the Jan 6th Commission hearings and you didn’t find Trump at fault, nothing I am going to write on my tiny little blog is going to change your mind.
If you can read this extended piece by FactCheck, and still not find him at fault, nothing I say here will change your mind.
So I’ll just say, fuck him for trying to overthrow the government, and fuck him for trying to overturn the election, and fuck all the fuckers who showed up to help him, and fuck all the fuckers who broke down the doors and climbed over the walls, and fuck all the fuckers who beat the Capitol Police Officers, and fuck all you fuckers who voted for this traitorous fucker the first time, and fuck all you fuckers who believed his lying fucking ass when he said this was a day of love, and fuck all you fuckers who dismissed the Jan 6th Commission’s findings, and fuck all you fuckers who decided to vote for this lying piece of shit mother fucker again, and fuck all you fuckers who still believe his fucking lying fucking ass, and fuck all you fuckers who wear the red fucking cult hats, and fuck all you fuckers who believe he is making America great again when he is just a lying shit stain excuse of a fucking human being, and fuck him again for all the fucking boneheaded fucking shit he has done since, and fuck him one more time for all the fucking shit he will do before we can finally be rid of this fucker when his term ends.
